These 1911 grip panels are made with poplar and have been laser engraved with THORS hammer surrounded by a knot work, basketweave texturing.
The picture shows the WEATHERED GREY stain, but you can choose any from the list.
They are made to order, so you can pick whether or not you want them traditional, (with a beveled base, and notch for the backstrap pin), or flush cut (for a magwell)
If you want them cut for an Ambi-Safety, let me know in the comments.
Also, please feel free to contact me if you would like them customized (ie. initials, unit, years served, etc.) added, or out of a different exotic wood (Walnut, Bubinga, Birdseye Maple or whatever else I can get my hands on) that you are interested in. There is a small fee for this that varies depending on what you are looking for, but truly makes them one of a kind.
Test fitted on a Colt, Kimber, and Springfield, they should fit most any COMPACT (2 11/16th inch center to center screw spacing) 1911, although, due to some small variations between manufactures, a small amount of fitting may be required.
You can also now get a matching pocket knife, or fixed blade knife to match your custom RAVENWOODGRIPS gun grips.
Here is the listing for the folding blade pocket knife:

Payment is pretty easy through Etsy, so this is straight forward. If we work together on an idea, I'd be more than happy to create a private listing for you. Custom work, once agreed upon, will require payment before physical work can begin. Most items take about 2 weeks to make, although some of the bigger and more elaborate products can take up to a month. If you are unsure, or want an estimate on production times, send me a message and I can let you know!!!
I ship almost exclusively through USPS, although occasionally use UPS for larger or more delicate items. I always include the insurance on items to make sure that if your item is damaged in transit, we are both covered (since the items offered are one of a kind, and hand made, I don't have the option to just grab another off the shelf to send.)
Also, the cost of shipping and handling of "FREE SHIPPING" items will NOT be refunded in the case of a return. This expense is included into the cost of the item, and, since USPS does not reimburse me if you purchase something, and send it back to me, I do not reimburse the expenses (included into the price of the items with "free shipping") to buyers. If you would like to know exactly what I pay for shipping, in the case of a return, please feel free to ask me.
But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
These items are all made to order, and details will be worked out exactly before work begins. Once work has begun, changes cannot be made (again, handmade so pretty impossible to un-cut wood). If something is damaged or lost in shipping, that is what the shipping insurance if for. Almost all items are wood, so excessive duress can and will break them. Also, wood has many variations in regards to color, grain, and appearance, so yours will NOT look exactly like examples, however, I will do my best to make them as close as possible. I advise you to treat them as precious custom heirloom quality pieces. If something does happen, I can advise on repairs, but considering the nature of these items, returns, and refunds, for broken items is not possible. If you order something, and it doesn't work, because you didn't read the description (ie. You order full size grips, but you own a compact gun) no returns will be accepted. If you have questions whether something will work, please ask. Custom designed items cannot be canceled or refunded once work has begun.
Most of my items are wood. There are, of course, some variances between different pieces of wood, even within the same board. I will always try my best to make the best looking piece for my customer. Sometimes I will search out a board with almost no grain, or a piece with a lot of grain. I will often design specifically with the grain in mind. That being said, yours will not look exactly like the pictured items. It will however, be amazing. When referencing grips, I will use many terms. Most are industry standard, however, if you are unsure, please feel free to send me a message. For instance, 1911 compact grips are 2 11/16" from the center of the top grip screw to the center of the bottom grip screw, and 1911 full size is 3 1/16" center of screw to center of screw. Ambi is short for ambidextrous safety. Magwell means your gun has a flared magazine well.

I bought a pair of these for my 1911 carry, a TRP. They were completed and delivered within a reasonable time frame and I could not be happier with the result. I opted for the material upgrade to white oak and chose the cherry stain. The grips are smooth but the basketweave texture provides some grip. Even tho I accidentally purchased the compact version instead of the full size, Jason was able to get it right and I can’t wait to buy another set. I only wish it was possible to order a “thin” set.

Not gonna lie, I was a little tipsy when I decided to order these. They are fantastic. Beautiful work that would look amazing on my pistol if I hadn't managed to completely miss the all caps COMPACT descriptor in the name. However, they so surpassed my expectations in quality that I didn't feel bad at all about placing a second order for the full size grips that I actually needed. I'll hang on to these in case I decide to purchase the compact version of the pistol in the future.

Purchase is a gift. Professional seller with great communication and he worked with me to get the grips to preference. The item was packaged well, shipped quickly and is better than expected! Five stars and I'm glad I can support locally. The woodwork is great and loved the custom box the grips were placed in. Thank you!
